Obituary

Blaine Hubert Miller, age 87, passed away on July 3, 2015.  He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Betty Jane  (nee Ramper), dear father of Christa Miller and the late George Miller, loving grandfather of Tod Miller and 4 great grandchildren, devoted brother of Everett Miller, Jr and the late Norman, Glen, Wayne and Harold Miller. Blaine was born on December 28, 1927 in Belsano, Pennsylvania to the late Everett Miller, Sr. and Lillian (nee Goldberg). He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1946-1947.  He then married Betty Jane Ranper on April 3, 1948 and resided in Pennsylvania until 1950 when they moved to Baltimore before settling in Glen Burnie in 1955. From 1949-1950, Blaine worked as a coal miner until he took a position at General Motors as mechanic, Gardner Motors, Swiss Fertilde and Bradshaw.  He later was employed by General Refactories where he worked for 30 years.  He then worked for Anne Arundel County Road Operations  before retiring in 1989. Blaine was a member of the American Legion, president of the Democratic Club and Furnace Creek Charity and Pleasure Club.  He was a big fan of Ravens Football and Baltimore Orioles Baseball.  He also enjoyed attending his wife's family reunion every year, which the affectionatly called "Going Back Home". The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy South in Glen Burnie, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM where services will immediately follow the visitation. Interment: Glen Haven Cemetery
