Billy Robert Shawkey, age 84, passed away on January 4, 2013.  He was the devoted husband of the late Caroline (nee Libby), loving father of Brian M., Barry S., Mark L. Shawkey, Nancy S Cheplowitz and the late Billy R., Jr., dear brother of Charles and Daniel Shawkey and the late Richard, Winston and David Shawkey. He was also the proud grandfather of Jessica and Matthew Whitaker, Christian, Grant and Garrett, Billy III and Stephan Shawkey and Michael and Christopher Stillman, great grandfather of Alexander, Kailey and Andrew Stillman and Lexi Whitaker-Loving. Billy was  proud to serve our country in the US Army and a member of the Teamsters #557 as a truck driver; 27 years at Redstar Truckline and 25 years at Redline Trucking.  He was also a member of The American Legion Post #276. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating and playing cards.  He liked spending time with friends, playing pool and shuffleboard.  He was a devoted Ravens and Orioles fan. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7  from 3-5 & 7-9 PM  at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S at 5th Ave, where services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
