Betty Jane Miller was born on August 12, 1928 in Vesta Six, Pennsylvania to the late John Ramper, Jr. and Ann M. Sedlacko Ranper.   She attended Robertsdale High School in Pennsylvania, graduating class of 1947.

On April 3, 1948 she married Blaine Hubert Miller and they resided in Pennsylvania until 1950 when they moved to Baltimore, Maryland.  Later they moved to Glen Burnie, Maryland in 1955.  Betty worked for Social Security from 1973 to 1979 before working at St. Phillip Neri School through 1983.  She was later a waitress at New Seagart's for a year before staying home to raise a family.  Betty was an active member of St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum, Maryland and the local Seniors Centers.  She enjoyed penny bingo, canasta, and teaching line dancing.

Surviving Betty is her devoted daughter, Christa Miller.  Her memory will forever be cherished by her loving grandson Tod M. Miller and beloved great grandchildren, Hayley C., Sydney G. and twins Aiden P. and Megan R. Miller  Betty also has two surviving sisters, Dorothy Wood and Jean Wisher.  She is predeceased by a son, George Miller, a sister, Mary Ann Dickinson and brothers Robert, Donald and James Ranper.
