Obituary

August "Ike" Bernard Cooper, age 77, passed away on October 7, 2014.  He was the beloved son of the late Edward, Sr. and Lina Cooper, dear brother of Wilbur T. Cooper, Frieda Pfeifer, Sarah Beam and Lina Ballman and loving uncle to several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Ike was born in Baltimore City, where he remained his whole life.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army when he was 23 and was a missileman.  After his Honorable Discharge from the military, he gained employment at Bethlehem Steel, working in the rebar shop. Among his interests, Ike enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the Eastern Shore, classical movies and old war movies.  He was a very private person and lead a quiet life. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie where services will immediately follow the visitation.
