Andrew J. Long, IV, age 51, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013.  He was the beloved son of Andrew and Mary Long, dear brother of Robert Long and his wife, Deborah, devoted nephew of Catherine Latham and her husband, Patrick, Teresa McHugh, Sr. Jean Meyer, O.P., uncle of Pamela and Brittany Long, great nephew, Braiden and cousin of 4. He was a graduate of Arthur Slade Catholic School and Old Mill High School in Glen Burnie, MD.  He studied at Rutger's University where he received a Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counseling and using his skills and knowledge working for the Straight & Narrow Treatment Center in Paterson for many years as a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor for the state of New Jersey. In 2007, Andrew was awarded an Unsung Hero Award by the Passaic County Prosecutors Office in recognition of his work with church and school groups and civic organizations with respect to the disease of addiction.  Andrew was a wonderful musician.  He played both professionally and with Church Folk Groups.  He willingly shared his talent and formed 3 bands at Straight and Narrow that performed in the area. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 24 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S @ 5th Ave in Glen Burnie.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 11:30 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Severn.
