Albert B. Thyr, age 92, passed away on June 5, 2013.  He was the dear husband of Catherine (Nee Johnson) who passed away in 2006 and beloved father of Judy Harden and her husband, Joseph, loving uncle to Mike Meekins and his wife, Stacy and great uncle of Michael, Matthew and Justin. Albert was born in Minnesota.  As he got older he served in the Merchant Marines then settled in Glen Burnie where he lived for 45 years.  He owned and operated A.B. Advertising where he worked for 35 years. For enjoyment, Al loved boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.  He belonged to the Glen Burnie Elks Club and the North AA Chamber of Commerce where he was the second person in their history to receive a lifetime membership.  He was also voted by the NAACC as "Business Man of the Year" as well as "Business of the Year".  He was well respected in the community. The family will receive friends at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S @ 5th Ave in Glen Burnie on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 4:00 PM for a Memorial Service.
