IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alan Keith
Parker
March 9, 1949 – November 9, 2025
Sadly, On November 9, 2025, Alan Keith Parker passed in the comfort of his home in Linthicum. He was 76.
Born in Baltimore, the son of William J. and Myrtle S. (ne'e Stoner) he would come to be a lifelong resident of Linthicum Heights.
Alan attended Andover High School and following in the footsteps of so many patriotic persons, enlisted to serve in the United States Navy during the conflict in Southeast Asia. He served on the U.S.S. Saratoga CVA-60 as a Boatswain's Mate and was Honorably discharged from service after nearly 4 years as a BM2. For his honorable and faithful service, Alan was awarded the National Defence Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
In his civilian life, Alan chose to continue serving the local community and joined the Baltimore City Sheriff's Department and was a Deputy Sheriff until retiring.
Alan started his own DJ business in retirement and was known as "DJ Alan K." He provided entertainment for many and varied events including Vintage Car shows, a particular interest of his. Alan owned a number of vintage cars himself, including his beloved "T-Bird," and was generally into the 50's subculture. He particularly enjoyed electronics and his passion was being a HAM radio operator. He was "really into it," and found place of purpose in the friendship and comradery of the HAM Radio Operators global community. Alan belonged to the Severna Park Elks Lodge where he DJed and volunteered in various activities. He was a cherished member and friend.
Finally, Alan is reunited with his wife "Bunny," (2022) in his passing.
