On March 16, 2019, Sarah Frances Floyd (nee Decker) left this world to go "home" with the Lord. She was in the fullness of her eighty second year.
Born in Shenandoah, Virginia the daughter of Margaret Decker, she would later meet and marry her dear late husband Herbert P. Floyd in Baltimore where they would start a life together. Ultimately they would settle in the Glen Burnie area, providing a great foundation for their faith and family.
Sarah was a godly woman and practiced her faith in fellowship at the River of Life Worship Center also serving as a Deaconess. She enjoyed returning to Afton, Virginia to visit the Floyd family and vacationing in Ocean City, New Jersey for many years, a tradition she also was able to share with her grand children. Her hobbies also included gardening and baking as well as cooking in general. Sarah liked crabbing and fishing in early days and created memories together with her children. Sarah had a particular love for birds, cardinals to be specific and she even trained one such bird to feed from her hand. Finally, she took homemaking seriously and enjoyed her time providing for her husband and children and recently grandchildren.
Sarah is survived by her beloved daughter Debbie Miller and husband Ron and her loving son Herbert P. Jr., and his wife Rhonda. She will be remembered by 4 cherished grandchildren, Rachael and Courtney Miller and Bryan and Daryl Floyd.
