Robert Barazotto, Sr Obituary

On June 4, 2019, Robert Louis  Barazotto, Sr., "Bob," passed surrounded by his loving family.  He was 82.

Born to Louis and Ester (nee Clubb) in Brooklyn , New York, he would spend most of his life in the Glen Burnie area.

Bob is a veteran of the United States Navy earning an honorable discharge after serving faithfully for 4 years as a member of the Ground Aviation crew.  He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal for his dedicated service.

During his service years, Bob met and married his dear wife Rita Theresa (nee Belanger) who sadly preceded him in 2015.  They are together again.

An aviation enthusiast, Bob worked at National Airport following his discharge from the Navy, and after moving to Glen Burnie in 1964, he worked at Friendship Airport as a Ground Crewman for Eastern and American Airlines.  He retired in 2001 after 40 years of service.

Bob was fascinated with aviation, both military and civilian, and he particularly was proud of the Navy.  Bob enjoyed things related to World War II and enjoyed listening and collecting music from the 1950's and 60's.  Reading the classics was a hobby of his and he enjoyed watching movies.  Bob was known to be a consumer of news and regularly read newspaper and magazine publications. He was a hard working man who was dedicated to his family and friends.  Finally, Bob was a Christian and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church/ Christ The King, where he worshiped many years.

Bob is survived by his dear daughter Nancy Jean Taylor and her husband Steve,  loving sons, Robert L. and wife Kathleen, John M. and spouse Kathy and Jim R. Barazotto. He leaves his beloved siblings Richard Barazotto and Mary Anderson.

To continue his legacy, Bob is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Kristy Curtis, Ryan Barazotto, Kaitlin, Ben, Nathan and Leah Taylor, Christopher, Patrick, Phillip and Daniel Barazotto and three great grandchildren, Audrina and Rylee Curtis and Everly Taylor.

He will be sorely missed.
