Sadly, on July 14, 2019, Rebecca Lynn Werner, "Becky," passed surrounded by her loving family. She was just 36.
The dear daughter of Sherrie Rae (nee Knott) and James Joseph Werner, III, she spent her entire life in the Glen Burnie area. Becky was a 2001 graduate of North County High School and continued her education earning a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Goucher College in 2005. A musician at heart and a drummer by design, she was once the bass drummer in her high school marching band. Her love of music became her passion and for years she was known as a "big music groupie." Becky particularly enjoyed following the bands, "One Direction," and "Fallout Boy," and a singular artist named Matt Nathanson. She traveled cross country hitting all of the lower 48 and even visited Canada in pursuit of her favorite bands in concert. She had 100 shows under her belt and was friendly and known by various band members. It was said that her life was work and concerts and that she was very comfortable traveling far and wide to enjoy music. Becky was also fond of sunrises and sunset, it was noted. Finally, she was a warm and friendly person and and a loving daughter, sister and friend.
Survivng her is her devoted sister, Lisa Werner Shipley and husband Daniel, as well as her cherished nieces and nephew, Jolene, Becca Sophie, Jack and Ellie. She will also be missed by numerous loving cousins, her aunts and uncles and her beloved pet, "Frady Cat."
