On August 27, 2019, Milton Guilford Carson, Sr., passed peacefully at his home. He was in the fullness of his eighty- seventh year.
Born to George and Jeanette (nee Holder) Carson in Baltimore, he would spend his youth and eventually move to Glen Burnie in the early 1960's. In his early years Milton worked in the sheet metal industry installing duct work which didn't necessarily appeal to him. When the Korean war opened, he volunteered for service. Milton would be a truck driver, transporting gasoline and ammunition, the lifeblood of an armored battalion. He did his duty and after completing service honorably, he returned home to start life once more. Ultimately he would take a position at Kaiser Aluminum where he would spend twenty-nine and a half year,s finally retiring as a "die repairman."
Milton enjoyed fishing and crabbing in his leisure time and also liked to tinker with small engines and lawn mower repair. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.
Milt joins his dear late wife of 58 years, Catherine M. (nee Bennett) in eternity at last. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Brenda K. and husband Scott and his devoted son, Milton G. Carson, Jr. He will be missed by his cherished grandchildren, Sebrina McKee and husband Kristopher and Megan Carson and one special great-grandchild, Greyson McKee. Milton is preceded in passing by his sisters, Jeanette Rickland and Mary Hainey and brothers, George and John Carson.
