Marion Anna Osborne nee Hacker, 95, a long time resident of Glen Burnie died, May 1, 2018.
She was born in Baltimore to Frank and Anna (nee Hejl) Hacker and spent her youth there until marrying her late husband Donald Coleman Osborne. Together the lay down roots in the developing Glen Burnie community where they lived for over 60 years. Marion was a school teacher for over a decade at area schools, eagerly and often mentioning the joy she felt being an educator. She enjoyed cooking and travel , especially traveling to Canada with Donald which they did several times a year, for 35 years running. In their adventures they developed many lasting friendships.
Marion was a member of the Red Hat Society and also the Pascal Senior Center. Through the center she developed into a talented painter and also helped to direct activities to help other seniors enjoy their past times.
Surviving her are her brother Francis Hacker and his wife Jean and her sister-in-law Patricia Hacker. Marion is preceded in death by her late son Richard and sister Josephine Gollery and spouse Thomas.
She will be remembered fondly by a litany of nieces and nephews including Catherine Wehner and husband Robert, Gail Wirth and spouse Stephen, Suzanne Akehurst and husband James, Alma Lukanich and spouse Nicholas, Robert Hacker and wife Melanie, Ronald Hacker and spouse Diana and James Osborne.
