On May 30, 2019, Leona Mary Roach passed following a lengthy illness. She was 87.
The daughter of George B. and Gertrude (nee Wunder), she spent her youth in Baltimore and the balance of her years in Pasadena.
She is the wife of the late John J. Roach with whom she was married for 40 years. When she was not working at her career as a technician at the Social Security Administration, her and John were "always out." She participated in Square Dancing, Line Dancing and was even a Clog dancer. Leona enjoyed 1950's and 60's music, really all music, as long as it wasn't hard rock. She had a passion for card games and played shuffleboard and her favorite board game Scrabble. Leona also was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Club.
Leona is preceded in passing by her dear daughter, Gloria Jean Bittner, one grandchild and is survived by her one remaining sibling, her loving sister Anna Moylan.
She is fondly held in the memory of her beloved nieces and nephews, Bobby, Patrick, John, Martin, Mary Kathleen, Rose and Earl. Leona will also be missed by many cherished friends and acquaintances.
