June Taylor Obituary

Regretably, on July 14, 2018, June Lorraine Taylor left this world to be with the Lord.

Born 90 years before on a farm in Ferndale to Albert Francis and Mary Katherine (nee Pumphrey), she would live the entirety of her life in the same area.  In her youth, June enthusiastically took to the past times which are a mark of life in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.  She made many memories at the family shore home on the Choptank River, boating, crabbing and fishing.

During her working years she held several jobs in manufacturing, however her career would be as a Switchboard Operator.  She was married for a time to the late Roger Taylor who sadly passed early in the marriage.  June never remarried but she redirected her attention to her family and friends and living life to the fullest.  She was an avid League Bowler and won many awards and trophies.  Always on the move, she traveled about the country from New York to as far as Hawaii.  She was a faithful travelling buddy to family and friend alike.

Though she had no children of her own, she was fully invested in the lives of her brother, the late Albert  Knollie and her sister-in-law Nancy who survives her.  June is the loving aunt of  Ellen Seymour, Joyce Moxley, Sherry Ann Moody and Knolene Johnston and her spouse Edward.  She is the beloved great aunt of Gary Wilemen, Chelsea Fryou and her husband Will and Hannah, Brett, Nathan and Emma Johnston.  June is the loving great-great aunt of Dean, Cole and Roxy.

In Lieu of flowers donation may be made in June's memory to Hospice of the Chesapeake at hospicechesapeake.org.
