Joseph Angel Obituary

It is with deep regret that we note the passing of  Joseph Bruce Angel; loving son, devoted husband, beloved father and dear friend.  He was just 52.

Born in Baltimore City, the son of Viola Goldie (nee Wright) and the late Philip Elwood Sr.,  he would eventually move to Glen Burnie where he resided since 2011.

Joe had several favorite past times, one of his most favored being fishing.  Whether on his boat or in a remote stream or lake , he took pleasure in the challenge of the catch.  An avid gardener he enjoyed growing and eating vegetables and sharing his bounty.   He also enjoyed cooking out, a time where he would be able to relax and enjoy family and friends and imbibe in his favorite spirits.

As much as he liked his free time, Joe was a dedicated and relentless provider for his family.  From his early days in the roofing industry until his career in the funeral industry, he never settled for mediocrity.  Through his determination and hard work he unselfishly made ends meet and was able to make special occasions and holidays memorable.

Joe was a kind and loving person.  Though he could be tough at times, his soft side always shone through.

He had a deep faith in Jesus Christ and often expressed his trust in his God.

Finally, he had a fantastic sense of humor and charmed many people with his incredible stories and infectious laugh.

No words could fully express all that Joe was or how much he touched many people.  Those who were blessed to have known him will cherish their time with him and he will live on in so many memories.

Among his survivors is foremost his dear mother Viola.  His devoted wife Carolyn Virginia (nee Adams,) who truly was his foundation, survives him as well.  He leaves loving children Lauren, Melissa, Joe, Brandon, Christopher and Emily as well as his much loved grandchildren Rex, Connor, Penelope and Killian.  Joe is survived by his beloved nieces Lena and Ashley and nephews Charles and Robert, Nicholas, Richard and Joseph.  Joe is survived by one sibling Freida Northrop.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Philip Sr., Philip Jr., Richard and Patricia.

Joe we will sorely miss you...........
