On June 10, 2018, after a full and fruitful life of 87 years, Gloria Mildred Love passed surrounded by her loving family.
A life long resident of the greater Baltimore suburbs and Brooklyn Park of late, she is the daughter of William and Sarah (nee Giley) Adams. Gloria married her dear, late husband of 23 years, Albert Love and happily took on the responsibility of running the household and raising three children. She volunteered at the elementary school #203, helping in the classroom and with PTA during her childrens' academic years. She also volunteered as a Campfire Leader an associate organization similar to the Girl Scouts.
Gloria enjoyed going to 'the shore,' at a time when people sought relief from the Baltimore summer heat at swimming areas along the Chesapeake Bay, her favorite being Cottage Grove Beach. Gloria also loved to plant and decorate for the holidays. She was know for decorating the house from "top to bottom," sometimes to the chagrin of her loved ones who found themselves as a means to her creative end; of course always with love. Pets were dear to Gloria's heart, especially her cats of late. Her defining quality though, was her dedication to her family and it is said, her grand children and great-grandchildren were her joy, no doubt adding years to her life. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities like school concerts, sports and dance recital to cheer them on and let them know how proud she was of them
She is survived by her loving daughter Jacqueline "Jackie" Taylor and spouse John. Preceding her in death are her daughter Betty Jane who is survived by her husband Gary O'neil, and the late Eugene A. Love, her beloved son. Of her 5 siblings, she is survived by Jackie Zulauf and Charles and Wilburt Adams. She joins Betty Bees and James Adams in eternity.
Through her progeny, she leaves an expansive legacy and testament to her dedication to family. Gloria is the beloved grandmother of Sherry O'Neil-Hamlett, Crystal Ferrara, Tammy Teets, Jennifer Shafer and Jessica Taylor. Her beloved great grandchildren include Robert and Nicholas O'Neil, Logan O'Neil-Hamlett, Daniel, Mackenzie, Caleb and Ryleigh Ferrara, Christina, Katelyn and Collin Teets and Juliana, Jaxson and Jaelyn Shafer.
Her absence will be felt deeply.........
Donations are greatly encouraged in her name to the Maryland spca @ mdspca.org
