Suddenly, on September 5, 2019, Francis Anthony Blackowicz, "Frank," passed into eternity. He was 77 years old.
Born in Baltimore to Anthony and Sophia Blachowicz, he would be a long time resident until moving to Pasadena in the early 1970's.
Frank served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and upon completing his enlistment was honorably discharged. Around this time he would be married to Ellen "Jeannine," (nee Reid) and together they would spend 48 years together until her passing in 2011. Frank earned a living in these early years as the owner of a trucking company, later transitioning to sales in janitorial supplies. He was a dedicated caregiver who worked hard to provide for his family, asking for nothing in return.
Frank loved baseball of all kinds, a passion carried over from his years playing baseball in Patterson Park as a youth. He was also a boater for a time and was an avid golfer, a sport he truly found joy in.
He will always be remembered as a most devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Frank is survived by his beloved daughter Nichole L. Thompson and husband Patrick as well as three cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Regan and Nolan. He joins his sister Bernadette Klima in passing.
He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
