On Sunday April 22, Donald L. McDermott passed into eternity after an extended illness. He was 84.
Born in Baltimore to Frances A. and Alma M. (nee Fee) McDermott so many years ago, he would later reside in Linthicum where he put down roots for 48 years. He shared 54 years of marriage with his darling Regina B. (nee Woodring) who sadly passed in 2006.
Donald was employed by C&P Telephone, later AT&T, for 30 years, retiring in 1985 after serving in various capacities of the telecommunications industry. He enjoyed woodworking and building, specifically home improvement and continued in his fathers trade, the F.A. McDermott Co. for a number of years.
Most of all he was a dedicated husband, father and especially grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving him are his daughter Donna L. and her Husband Robert N. DeBlase, son Michael P. and his wife Kathleen and Kevin F. McDermott. He is the dear brother of Alma Giunta and her late husband Joseph as well as his grandchildren Jennifer Schuman and her husband John, Kristopher and Stephanie DeBlase, Megan and Alison McDermott and great grandson Brennan Schuman.
