Charles Louis Theisz, Sr.

Sadly, on September 18, 2018, Charles L. Theisz, Sr., 77 of Millersville passed surrounded by his loving family.

Born to John Hergert and Dorthea (nee Cross) Theisz, he spent his life in the Northern Anne Arundel County area. Charles worked for Anne Arundel County Public Schools as a Facilities Engineer ultimately retiring after 32 years.  In his early years he also served as a volunteer Firefighter at several stations including Linthicum and Ferndale Volunteer Fire Companies.  He had a passion for the fire department and could often  be found listening to his Fire/Police scanner keeping abreast of the fire activities in the area.  Charles was a very active and long standing member of the Anne Arundel Alarmers where he volunteered with pride. When he was not engaged in fire department affairs, he found time to enjoy other hobbies including NASCAR racing, trains, watching airplanes and listening to his favorite musician Willie Nelson.

Charles is survived by his dear wife of 17 years, Kay Karen (nee Koellner) as well as two sons Charles L. Jr., and wife Rita and Jay Glaeser and spouse Allison.  He is the dear grandfather of Mikayla Theisz and Alyssa and Jayde Glaeser and the expected great-grandfather of  two, Cassie Marie and Cameron James.

He leaves his loving sister Eleanor Breedon and joins his late sister Carol Harmon at rest. Charles is the beloved uncle of several, including Cindy Parrish, John Loving and Ray Bussey as well as great neice and nephew Jenna and John Parrish.  

Charles will be missed by his dear friend Crystal Evashco.
