With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the sudden departure of Ronnie Ray Paschall on December 11, 2023, at the age of seventy-two. Ronnie, known for his ever-present smile, faced life's challenges with a natural grace and optimism that inspired all who knew him.
Born to Robert Palmer and Minnie Beatrice (nee Burwell) Paschall in Warren County, North Carolina, Ronnie eventually settled in Millersville, making it his home for thirty years after living in Severn. A 1969 graduate of Mergenthaler High School, he served with distinction as a Medical Corpsman in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1971 to 1972, attaining the rank of E-4.
After his honorable military service, Ronnie embarked on a career as a Forensic Psychiatric Technician, retiring in 2003. He later pursued a second career with Wilkens Automotive as a Lot Manager, dedicating another 18 years before retiring once more. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching football and basketball and cherished his travels with his wife and best friend, "Pennie," to New Jersey to visit her family and to Warren County to reconnect with his heritage.
Described as a “simple man,” Ronnie's impact was anything but simple, deeply felt in the love and admiration from those who knew him. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 43 years, Pinell "Pennie" Marisa (nee Maynes), his beloved son DaRon B. Paschall, and his treasured granddaughter Omaya Paschall-Cook. Also mourning his loss are his twin brother, Donnie Paschall, sisters Julia Ball and Gwendolyn Hudson, aunts Dedis Daniels and Lucy Talley, and close friends James Stevenson, Rick Turner, Albert Barnes, and Will Robertson, as well as numerous adoring nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Ronnie's life, a blend of dedication, love, and simple joys, was made more remarkable by his constant smile, a testament to his enduring spirit and positive outlook. He will be eternally remembered and deeply missed.
