Audrey Lucille (Ware) Smith

On March 2, 2024, Audrey L. Smith, passed in the presence of her loving family.  She was 93.

Audrey was born  the daughter of George E. and Ethel W. (nee' Jenkins) Ware in 1930.  She has been a Glen Burnie resident for 67 years, 53 of those years spent in the company of her dear late husband Harry M. Smith (2002).  Audrey was a licensed Cosmetologist for a time and decided to keep a home following her marriage to Harry. She enjoyed knitting and camping in years passed and her children continue in her wonder of "what's over the next mountain," to this day.  She has been a member of the PTA, a "room mother" for the local elementary school, helping to organize events and teacher appreciation days and was a Marley Station Mall Walker.  Audrey "took care of people," especially her dear Harry who was diabetic and her brother as he struggled with cancer.  She was also a great influence on Annemarie who she babysat  as a youngster and is now like a part of the family.

Surviving Audrey is her devoted daughter Robin Stein and husband Kurt and one son Harry A. Smith.  She will be missed by her brother Ron Ware and wife Nancy and will be cherished in the memory of her nephew Darryl Ware and his wife Angela and daughter Alexis.  She joins another nephew, Noel Ware in passing.  Her grand dogs will mourn her absence.
